Due to the expectation of severe weather, the Governor’s decision to close state offices, and the potential for dangerous road conditions, all Lumpkin County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

Do you know an upcoming kindergarten student?

Kindergarten Registration for upcoming kindergarten students will be March 27 from 8:00am to 6:00pm at Lumpkin County Park and Rec. Please bring your rising kindergarten student and the following documents with you: birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, dental, vision and hearing screening, and proof of residency.

Lunch Charges:

If your child owes lunch charges, please take care of these as soon as possible.

Order your yearbook now:

Yearbooks are currently on sale for $30.00. February will be the last month to order online or through the school to be guaranteed a yearbook. The deadline for all preorders is March 1st.

We need your help:

Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the cold and wears a jacket to school. Please put first and last names in jackets, gloves, hats, etc.

REMIND:

If you are receiving text messages through Remind, please download the app. Verizon customers will no longer be able to receive messages without the app.

Valentine’s Exchange:

On February 14, students will be participating in a Valentine exchange within their classrooms. Please look for specific information in your child’s classroom newsletter.

Georgia Student Health Surveys

Student Health Surveys:

Students in grades 3-5 will be asked to participate in the Georgia Health Survey during the month of November. The results they provide will help determine needs of our school and will take part in our School Climate Rating. Please let us know if you would like to see a copy of this survey or if you would like for your student to opt out.

Georgia Parent Survey:

Parents have an opportunity to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey. The results of this survey will help determine the needs of our school and will take part in our School Climate Rating. Student Drop Off Procedures

After Labor Day, parents will no longer be allowed to walk students to class at any of the Lumpkin County Schools. You are free to walk your child to the front doors or drop them off in the parent drop off lane. School staff will be inside to ensure that children get to the correct location. Again, all of these changes are occurring to keep students and employees as safe as possible.

Students arriving after 8:00 will need to be escorted in the building by an adult. The adult will need to check the student in at the front office.

Registration Rally 2018

The Lumpkin County School System now has the enrollment process available online for all new students. Parents may go to https://campus.lumpkinschools.com/campus/OLRLogin/lumpkin to complete the enrollment process. Click on the Enroll Today tab on the right side of the screen for a list of documents that are required for registration. Documents must be uploaded to the online system or brought to the Lumpkin County Board of Education to finalize the enrollment process. Assistance will be available at the Lumpkin County Board of Education during the New Student Registration Rally on July 19 and July 23-25.

Welcome to Lumpkin County Elementary School!

I am so excited to be the principal of Lumpkin County Elementary School this year. My goal is for your child to be challenged each day while enjoying learning.
