The Garden Club, which meets monthly, teaches students in
grades 3-5 about all aspects of gardening. Students have
learned about soil types, bulbs and plant growth,
vermiculture (growing worms), composting, and planting for
the season (which relates to our STEAM initiative of weather
& climate).

The club meetings are led by the Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners, and students that complete the hands-on activities throughout the year become certified as Jr. Master Gardeners through Texas A&M & the UGA Extension.
